Stalwart Enterprise gives you a complete mail and collaboration platform for a per-mailbox rate that drops as you grow. Every license includes unlimited domains, tenants, mailing lists and aliases at no extra cost, and the same license can be installed on an unlimited number of servers.

Tier rates

Each tier billed at its own rate.

The total bill for a given deployment combines the rates across the tiers it spans. A 600-mailbox deployment, for example, is charged the rate for 25-499 on the first 499 mailboxes and the rate for 500-999 on the remainder.

How licensing works

Per-mailbox subscription, annual or monthly.

Two billing cycles are available: annual, with a discount applied for paying yearly, and monthly, for organisations that prefer a shorter commitment. Only user and group mailboxes count toward the total. Mailing lists and aliases are not billed. Every plan includes unlimited domains, tenants, mailing lists and aliases at no extra cost.

How a license is issued.

After purchase at the Stalwart Labs licensing portal, the key is available immediately and activates Enterprise features as soon as it is installed on the server. A 30-day Enterprise trial is available at the trial portal, with full access to Enterprise features for evaluation.

  • Anchored to a hostname domain, not to an individual server. A key for *.example.org covers an unlimited number of servers under that domain.
  • Unlimited client domains: the domain restriction applies only to server hostnames, not to the domains your users send and receive mail under.
  • Cancellation reverts to Community. Enterprise-only features are disabled, but no data is lost and service continues without interruption.
Premium Support

Premium Support is included from 150 mailboxes.

Enterprise subscriptions of 150 mailboxes or more include Premium Support: priority response, expedited bug fixing and influence on the product roadmap. Smaller Enterprise subscriptions (below 150 mailboxes) get the Enterprise feature set only; for help and questions, those customers rely on the same community support channels as Community-edition users. On-demand options for Premium Support customers include a dedicated Support Engineer, a custom SLA and lawful interception. Pricing FAQ.

  • Are mailboxes counted on a peak or average basis?

    Mailbox count is measured at billing. Only user and group mailboxes are counted; mailing lists and aliases are not.

  • Can I move the license to a different server?

    Yes, as long as the server hostname falls under the licensed domain (for example, anywhere under *.example.org).

  • Do I need a separate license for each region or data centre?

    No. One key covers every server under the licensed hostname domain, regardless of where it runs.

  • What happens if my mailbox count exceeds my plan mid-cycle?

    Existing mailboxes keep working without restriction; the server simply stops creating new mailboxes once your licensed count is reached. To unblock new mailboxes, buy additional licenses at license.stalw.art and apply them to the running server: there is no downtime and the system generates a prorated invoice for the remaining period.

  • Can I purchase additional mailboxes mid-cycle?

    Yes. Buy more mailbox licenses at license.stalw.art at any time during your billing period, then apply the new key to the running server: it takes effect without a restart, and the system charges only for the prorated remainder of the cycle.

  • Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

    Yes, in either direction. The change is applied at license.stalw.art and takes effect without downtime; the system reconciles the change with a prorated invoice for the rest of the period.

  • What happens if I cancel my Enterprise subscription?

    The server reverts to the Community edition automatically. Enterprise-only features are disabled, but no data is lost and standard email and collaboration service continues without interruption.
